Pacific Swingline Pacific Swingline began as an arranging experiment in 1989-1990 as music for a 5-part men's quintet.
After several reorganizations, it morphed into the ensemble that you see today. Pacific Swingline has been bringing music to the Southern California/Nevada area since then, delighting audiences with their unique brand of A capella singing.
The sophistication of swing, the energy of jazz, and the warmth of the human voice is what Pacific Swingline is all about. The ensemble consists of five voices with extensive backgrounds in the recording studios and on the stages of Southern California, voices that can be heard on the soundtracks of films, such as 2012, A.I. (Artificial Intelligence), Avatar, First Knight, For Colored Girls..., Home Alone, Hook, Inspector Gadget, Iron Man II, Jurassic Park, Little Mermaid 3, Mars Attacks, National Treasure: Book of Secrets, Outbreak, Pennies, Percy Jackson & the Olympians, A Perfect Murder, Prince, Quest for Camelot, Race to Witch Mountain, Sorcerer's Apprentice, Sum of All Fears, Triple X, Wanted, Waterworld, Wild Wild West, Wolfman, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and television shows like Beauty and the Beast, The King of Queens, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno... and the list goes on and on.
These voices have shared the stage with such diverse talents as LeAnn Rimes, Josh Grobin, Ray Coniff, Julie Andrews and Placido Domingo, and who have sung for the President of the United States and the Queen of England.
Five voices singing unaccompanied, immersing the finest musical literature of the 20ís, 30ís, 40ís and 50ís in intricate vocal arrangements that bring the soul of the music to the surface; songs like Sentimental Journey, It Donít Mean A Thing If It Ainít Got That Swing, My Ship, Georgia On My Mind, The Lion Sleeps Tonight, When Your Lover Has Gone, Somewhere Over The Rainbow, and When You Wish Upon A Star. Again, the list goes on.
Five voices that, united, have graced stages all over the land - five voices bringing the love of music to life in a format resplendent on the stage or strolling the scene - five voices that would like to sing for you!
